Clanton’s Tiffany Dy, daughter of Dr. Ritky and Roxanne Dy, was crowned Birmingham-Southern’s 2010 Homecoming Queen.

Dy is a 2007 graduate of Chilton County High School and is a senior biology major.

“It was really a nice surprise and I was honored to be chosen by my student body,” said Dy. “My family was there, so it was really special.”

Dy holds an office in numerous organizations at Birmingham-Southern.

She is past president of Chi Omega sorority, vice president of Order of Omega, president of Omicron Delta Kappa and a member of Mortar Board.

“I could hear my sorority sisters in the crowd screaming for me, so it was an exciting experience,” said Dy.

The crowning took place during the halftime ceremony of the college’s 2010 homecoming football game, Oct. 23.
