The Chilton County website will be upgraded and will receive a new look after the commission, at its meeting at the courthouse on Monday, approved to renew its contract.

Racon Marketing Group will continue to work with the county on its website, but is offering more flexibility with its features.

“I’m here for the county, and I will do whatever you all want to be done,” said Ray Smitherman, Racon Marketing Group representative.

The new website will include photos of the courthouse, surrounding churches and landmarks, and it will also allow business contacts to be easily updated, just to name a few of the features.

In other business, the commission voted for the 2011 chairman and vice chairman. Tim Mims was re-elected chairman, and Allen Caton was elected vice-chairman.

The commission also approved to place a speed limit post of 25 mph along State Road 145 and County Road 51. It was also approved to place a “No Through Trucks” sign at each end of County Road 61.
