The seventh grade Family and Consumer Sciences class at Maplesville High School recently completed a unit titled, “Our Environment.” These young ladies learned ways to replenish our environment, protect the earth from hazardous materials, and introduced fellow students to new ideas on the three R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle). Each student in the class was challenged to complete the project “Trash to Treasure.” Through this project, students took some trash or something old that they no longer used and remade the object into something new.
