Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Dooley of Jemison announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Rebecca Dooley, to Jeremy Cobb Deavers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marty Deavers of Clanton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodford Lucas of Jemison and the late Mr. and Mrs. Doug Dooley of Cooper. She is a 2006 graduate of Jemison High School and is employed by ALT Transportation of Thorsby.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. Carl “Eddie” Wilson and the late Reeta Wilson of Clanton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ocie Deavers of Clanton. He is a 2006 graduate of Chilton County High School and is employed by A&C Enterprises in Clanton.

The wedding will take place at 3 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2010, at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Jemison, with a reception to follow. All family and friends are invited to attend.

After their honeymoon to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Montevallo.
