Alice Maye Dennis Chandler, 70, of Maplesville died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at her residence in Maplesville.

She fought a long brave battle.  Through it all she was a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by all.

She was born Thursday, Dec. 21, 1939, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Joseph Curtis Dennis and the late Fannie Lucille Gray Dennis.

She was a retired bookkeeper.

Surviving are her husband, Bert Chandler of Maplesville; son, Ronnie (Dianne) Chandler of Selma; two daughters, Cam (Bruce) Hutton of Selma and Holly (Charles) Gann of Tuscaloosa; and four grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Martin Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Maplesville with the Rev. Paul Atchison officiating.

Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
