Earl Davenport, 84, of Prattville died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.
He was born Thursday, May 27, 1926, in Chilton County, son of the late John Davenport and the late Rosa Ray Davenport.
He was a truck driver.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Pearline B. Davenport of Prattville; three sons, Mr. Richard (Patsey) Davenport of Prattville, Mr. Johnny (Sandra) Davenport of Douglasville and Mr. Charles (Shirley) Davenport of Prattville; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Ralph) Blackmon of Marion Junction, Mrs. Janice (Steve) Blackmon of Marion Junction and Mrs. Ann (Chuck) Sommers of Villa Rica, Ga.; two brothers, Mr. Jimmy Davenport of Plantersville and Mr. Wayne (Janice) Davenport of Maplesville; three sisters, Ms. Kathleen Mims of Montgomery, Mrs. Judy (Delbert) White of Billingsley and Mrs. Linda (Ronald) Terry of Plantersville; two special children, Cole Riley of Maplesville and Carson Riley of Maplesville; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mark Davenport; sisters, Nellie Jean Davenport, Dorothy Brewer and Peggy Davenport; and brother, Auburn Davenport.
Services were held Monday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. at Victory Chapel Church with the Rev. Donny Messer officiating.
Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 Cemetery in Jemison.
