The Coffee County coroner ruled Monday morning that a Chilton County boy died over the weekend from accidental suffocation.
Kade Justin Bradberry, a 12-year-old Clanton Middle School student and Thorsby student, died Saturday morning while on a hunting trip in Geneva County. Apparently, a strap that was part of Bradberry’s hunting equipment became entangled with moving parts on the off-road vehicle he was driving, according to the Dothan Eagle.
“Somehow the strap was under the four-wheeler, but we’re not sure how it all happened,” Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers said. “I’ve never had a mystery like this.”
Bradberry and other family members were visiting Coffee Springs, and Bradberry was going hunting Saturday morning.
Bradberry is the son of Jeremy Bradberry and Valerie Bradberry. He is also survived by a sister, Morgan Bradberry.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Clanton Christian Life Center.
