Two people have been arrested in connection with a suspected homicide in the Enterprise community, Sheriff Kevin Davis said.
Chilton County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tanya Vandyke, 40, of the Enterprise community and James Osgood, 41, of Shelby after finding evidence the two may have been involved with the death of Tracy Brown, 44, of Enterprise.
Osgood and Vandyke have been charged with murder, are being held at Chilton County Jail and no bond has been set.
The Sheriff’s department responded to a call about a possible death at a trailer park at the intersection of county roads 49 and 24, in a community known as Enterprise.
An investigation was conducted with help of specialists from the Alabama Department of Forensics, and Osgood and Vandyke were arrested Thursday morning at their respective residences.
More people have been interviewed about the suspected murder, Davis said but did not know whether there could eventually be more arrests or warrants.
“It’s still a pending investigation,” Davis said.
Because of the status of the investigation, Davis declined to provide information about a potential motive but did say the victim and Vandyke are believed to be related.
