Thomasine Johnson, 72, of Clanton died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on Friday, April 1, 1938, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Earl Guy Smitherman and the late Nell Cox Smitherman.

She was a retired school bus driver.

Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Johnson of Clanton; son, Greg (Laurie) Marcus of Thorsby; daughter, Tam Patrick of Birmingham; granddaughter, Kylee Patrick of Birmingham; two sisters, Melba (Richard) Malboeuf of Alabaster, and Edna Litton of Mobile; two sisters-in-law, Lois Ferguson of Clanton and Mary Davis of Clanton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Billingsley and the Rev. Jack Drinkwater officiating.

Interment will follow in Montevallo City Cemetery in Montevallo.
