Four Verbena cross country runners set personal best times at the Dew It on the Trails meet hosted by Decatur High School.

Allyson Brown, Raymond Bulger, Coy Lucas and Fred Wright all recorded their best time of their short careers (this is the first year VHS has fielded a cross country team).

Bulger and Lucas competed in the junior high division, which ran a 2-mile course.

Lucas finished 31st out of 156 runners with a time of 12:26. Bulger finished 55th with a time of 13:28.

The girls division ran a 5K course, or 3.1 miles.

Brown finished 88th out of 127 runners with a time of 27:42. Celeste Leverette finished 108th with a time of 30:42.

Wright finished 77th out of 169 runners in the boys division, which also competed on a 5K course. Wright’s time was 21:05.
