Gladys Crumpton Barrow, 82, formerly of Chilton County, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010.

Mrs. Barrow was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Blonnie Crumpton; brothers, Larkin and R.C. Crumpton; and baby sister, Ruby Athelene Crumpton.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul Barrow of Hoover; son, Jason Barrow (Mechele) of River Bend; daughter, Amelia Edge (Jonathan) of Calera; sisters, Myrtle Hayes of Randolph and Esther Foshee of Cullman; grandchildren, Katie Barrow, Abby Barrow; and a large extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 10 at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held from Union Springs Baptist Church, Monday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Daryle Nichols, the Rev. Evie Megginson and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.

She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
