Elvie Mae Jackson, 81, of Jemison died Tuesday, Oct. 5 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
She was born Saturday, March 23, 1929, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Lonnie Rhodes and the late Alberta Hicks Rhodes.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her three sons, Lanis Keith (Martha) Jackson of Thorsby, Ricky (Lee Ann) Jackson of Calera and Terry (Cheryl) Jackson of Jemison; two daughters, Donna (Tony) Williams of Jemison and Dawn Jackson Devaughn of Clanton; sister, Aunt Doris Pearl Rachels of Calera; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Doris Dean Rhodes of Thorsby, Peggy T. Rhodes of Pelham and Beverly Jo Rhodes of Jemison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Jackson; brother, Hershel Rhodes; brother, Billy Rhodes; and brother, Shirley Rhodes.
Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Earl Hilyer and the Rev. Johnny Bowman officiating.
Interment will follow in Collins Chapel Cemetery in Thorsby.
