James Clifton Johnson, 65, of Thorsby died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

He was born Saturday, June 2, 1945, in Chilton County, son of the late Emmett Clifton Johnson and the late Mary Elizabeth Headley Johnson.

He was a supervisor.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Johnson of Thorsby; son, Mark (Shannon) Johnson of Thorsby; two grandchildren, Blake Wyatt of Thorsby and Courtney Johnson of Thorsby; three sisters, Barbara (W.L.) Adams of Clanton, Mary (Harold) Sansom of Clanton and Doris Wium of Panama City, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Mary Johnson; and sister, Nora Story.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 3 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Monday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
