A small fire caused smoke damage to a unit at Ezra Cunningham Apartments in Clanton.

The fire only burned a pot left unattended on a stovetop in the 300 block of apartments, though there was smoke damage throughout that apartment, fire officials said.

Clanton Fire and Clanton Police responded to the call around 1:45 p.m.. No one was injured in the blaze. The apartments are located off Inverness Drive.
