Verbena cross country runner Koy Lucas finished ninth among junior high participants in the Third Annual Raider Run at Goodhope High School on Sept. 18.

Lucas ran the 2-mile course in 13:40.

Raymond Bulger finished 22nd out of 38 runners in the junior high division with a time of 14:58.

Fred Wright finished 28th out of 64 runners with a time of 24:29 in the varsity division, which completed a 3.1-mile course. Teammate Kelly Dorsett was 35th with a 25:17.

In the girls division, Verbena’s Allyson Brown was 33rd out of 44 runners with a time of 32:32. Celeste Leverette was 43rd after finishing the course in 38:35.

The Red Devils will compete in their third meet of the season on Saturday, the Kudzu Hill Invitational at Cold Springs.
