Harry Douglas Vines

Harry Douglas Vines, 82, of Clanton died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010. He was born Sunday, April 15, 1928, in Chilton County, son of the late Thomas Clifford Vines and the late Evie Mae Bates Vines.

He was a barber.

Surviving are his son, Clifford Ray (Rosita) Vines of Clanton; three daughters, Olivia Leigh (Doug) Thomas of Montgomery, Valerie (Curtis) Pancoast of Calera and Ruthie V. (Terry) Smitherman of Thorsby; sister, Nell Grace (Jim) Walker of Orlando, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cherrell Ray Vines.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial  Cemetery.
