Isabella cut into an early American Christian lead on Friday but still lost, 60-31.

Brandon Green tied the game at 7 in the first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown run, but then ACA ran off 34 consecutive points.

Austin Haigler ran in a 25-yard touchdown run to begin the scoring in the second half, and Tyler Smith’s 2-point conversion made it 41-15.

Haigler then hit Dylan Green with a TD pass, and Smith added the 2 points again to pull the Mustangs (1-3, 0-3 Class 2A, Region 4) within 18 points of the lead at 41-23.

But then the Patriots pulled away.

Smith scored later on a 52-yard run and, again, added the conversion.
