Winfred Oneal Cleckler

Winfred Oneal, Cleckler, 71, of Clanton died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at his residence in Clanton.

He was born on Sunday, Aug. 6, 1939 in Chilton County, son of the late Willie W. Cleckler and the late Agnes P. Scarbrough Cleckler.

He was a paper machinist with Union Camp Paper Mill.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Geneva Nelson Cleckler of Clanton; daughter, Mrs. Pamela Wilson of Clanton; granddaughter, Ms. Scarlett Wilson of Clanton; two brothers, Mr. Wilton Cleckler of Clanton and Mr. Jerry Cleckler of Clanton; and sister, Mrs. Julia (Paul) Mims of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Oneal Cleckler.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Zion Ridge Church of God.

Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with the Rev. Robert Barnes and the Rev. Tony Thomas officiating.

Pallbearers were Jared Nelson, Jeff Hay, Lee Johnson, Andy Roberson, Donald Cleckler and Jim Smith.

Interment followed in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
