Isabella earned the right to host its volleyball area tournament by defeating Billingsley on Thursday, 3-0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-9).

Amber Wyatt recorded 13 kills in the match, and the Mustangs’ other top hitters were Savannah Kissel (seven kills) and Landy Griffith (five kills).

Jessica Maciel assisted on 18 points and also had five aces. Ashley Carlisle also had five aces.
Allison Mims led Isabella (7-2) in digs.

IHS defeated Selma, 2-0 (25-7, 25-17) on the same day.

Wyatt had six kills in that match, Kissel had four kills and Griffith had three kills.

Kaylynn Culp had four aces, and Miranda Magnus pitched in with three aces.

Maciel posted six assists, and Heather Posey had four assists.

Isabella on Saturday plays in a tournament at Munford.
