John David Griffin, 27, of Clanton died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010.

He was born Friday, Aug. 6, 1982, in Montgomery, son of Jeffery Dale Griffin and Evangeline Easterling Griffin.

Surviving are his wife, Jessica Griffin of Clanton; two sons, John Devain Griffin of Clanton and James Dylan Griffin of Clanton; father, Jeffery Dale Griffin of Clanton; mother, Evangeline Griffin of Clanton; brother, Christopher Griffin of Clanton; grandmother, Elsie Griffin; and grandfather, Ennis Easterling.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at Maple Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery in Clanton.
