Ramsey’s hot bat leads Clanton to win in World Series opener

Colby Ramsey homered twice Saturday to lead Clanton’s all-stars to a 13-2 opening day win over Paris (Texas) National in the Dixie Youth Baseball O-Zone World Series in Lexington, S.C.
Ramsey’s performance was carried over from Friday, when he won the Home Run Derby competition that is a part of the World Series. Ramsey hit 21 home runs over three rounds to best 15 more of the best long ball hitters from around the Southeast.
Clanton plays Greenbrier, the Tennessee state runner-up, at 8 p.m. Sunday.
