Victory Chapel to hold yard sale
Victory Chapel Church will hold an estate/yard sale Thursday through Saturday to benefit local people in need of charity.
Items on sale will include furniture, books, curtains, collectibles, silver, televisions, photographs, clothes, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, glassware and other miscellaneous objects. Some 2,000 books will be available, as will a mahogany dining room set built in the 1920s. Various electronic devices will also be for sale.
The sale begins at 7 a.m. continues throughout the day until church employees and volunteers decide to close. It will be held in the church basement to avoid any potential rain or other poor weather conditions.
A church representative said the sale will take place this weekend because it felt like the best time when people would be able to purchase these types of items. All proceeds will benefit charities. All items are priced, and the church is also taking donations.
Victory Chapel Church is located on 2665 County Road 81, or Mount Pleasant Road, in Clanton.
