Government offices across the county will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of the Fourth of July.
The Chilton County Courthouse and all its offices will be closed all day Monday, as will the Clanton, Jemison, Maplesville and Thorsby city and town halls.
The closings will affect council meetings in Jemison and Thorsby, both of which schedule meetings for the first and third Mondays of each month.
Jemison did not reschedule its meeting, so the city’s only council meeting for July will be held on July 19.
Thorsby will hold its council meeting on July 6 at its regular time, 6 p.m.
Garbage pick-up will also be affected.
Clanton will still pick up garbage on Monday, though at an earlier time. Residents should have their carts by the road by 6 a.m.
Jemison, Maplesville and Thorsby, meanwhile, will move garbage pick-up scheduled for Monday to Tuesday.
The Chilton County Board of Education will also be closed on Monday.
