Edna Tucker

Edna Earle Tucker, 89, of Maplesville died Saturday, June 26, 2010.
She was born Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1920, in Alabama, daughter of the late Wiley T. Tucker and the late Eula Lecroy Tucker.
She retired Feb. 13, 1983, from the Autauga County Health Department as a public health nurse after 32 years of service.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Sharon S. (Daniel James) Runyon of Decatur; two great granddaughters, Andrea Lynn Thomas of Durham, N.C. and Margaret Ann Short of Dothan; two great grandsons, David Brandon Runyon of Decatur and Samuel Tucker Short of Dothan; grandson, Joel Wade Short of Dothan; brother, Franklin D. Tucker of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Eula Tucker; daughter, Ramona Ann Short; son-in-law, James Talmadge Short; granddaughter, Teresa Lynn Short; and four siblings, Betty Tucker Clenner, Arthur Tucker; Jack Tucker and Alma Tucker Plemmons.
Services were held Monday, June 28 at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Thrower, the Rev. Randall Tucker and the Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating.
Interment followed in Mulberry Baptist Cemetery in Maplesville.
No flowers; please make donations to Mulberry Cemetery Fund or Southern Care Hospice.
