Homer Kirkland, 72, of Clanton died Sunday, June 20, 2010.
He was born Wednesday, July 21, 1937, in Chilton County, son of the late George Kirkland and the late Pearlie Baker Kirkland.
He was a roll mill operator.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Kirkland of Clanton; four step-daughters, Dorothy (Jim) Wyatt of Alabaster, Judy (Leon) Roberson of Clanton, Susan (Wendell) Moore of Verbena and Barbara Foshee of Clanton; sister, Mary Kate Riggins of Clanton; 10 step-grandchildren; and 16 great-step-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Monday, June 21 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 22 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Drinkwater officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
