Clanton Police arrested a man for allegedly cutting another man at Ashley Court in South Clanton at approximately 8 p.m. Monday night.
Darryl Hall is being held at the Chilton County jail on first-degree assault charges with a bond of $100,000.
The victim, Glenn Campbell, was treated at Shelby County Medical Center, where he received roughly 200 stitches, according to Mayfield.
CPD investigator Freddie Mayfield said the men were in an argument that quickly led to a physical confrontation. He said punches soon led to Hall allegedly cutting Campbell across the mouth. Campbell told officers he did not realize he was cut until his wife brought his attention to it.
Campbell is currently at home recuperating from the injuries, police said.
Mayfield said the weapon has yet to be found. Although several pocketknives were found on the premises, officers determined none were used to cut Campbell.
Both men reside in Clanton but are originally from Maplesville.
