Charles Frederick Wenzel Jr., 92, of Clanton died Monday, May 24, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born Friday, June 8, 1917, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Charles Frederick Wenzel Sr. and the late Margaret Wenzel.

He was a security guard.

Surviving are his brother-in-law, Billy (Nedra) Lawrence of Trussville; four sister-in-laws, Grace (Frank) Donovan of Texas, Faye Lawrence of Clanton, Deanie Lawrence of South Carolina and Dot Lawrence of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth L. Wenzel.

Friends will be received from 2-3 p.m., Tuesday, May 25 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 25 at 3 p.m. at Clanton City Cemetery.
