Arnold L. Mims, 72, of Clanton died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Sunday, May 1, 1938, in Chilton County, son of the late M. Lloyd Mims and the late Flora Adams Mims.
He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Audrey Ann Mims of Clanton; two daughters, Mrs. Kathy (Ken) Chandler of Clanton and Mrs. Shelia (Jerry) Bolton of Clanton; three granddaughters, Mrs. Christy (Brandon) Giles of Calera, Mrs. Robin (Buddy) Wilson of Clanton and Ms. Miranda Chandler of Clanton; two grandsons, Mr. Brian Chandler of Clanton and Mr. Nic Bolton of Clanton; two great-grandsons, Coen Taylor Chandler of Clanton and Jackson Chandler Giles of Calera; and sister, Mrs. Christine (Sam) Ballard of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Miss Tammy Denise Mims; and parents, Lloyd and Flora Mims.
Services will be held Saturday, May 8 at 11 a.m. at Refuge Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Brooks, the Rev. David Reed and the Rev. Mark Seales officiating.
Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
