Alvin Eugene “Gene” Duren, 75, of Clanton died Monday, April 26, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
He was born on Thursday, May 31, 1934, in Chilton County, son of the late Edgar Duren and the late Fannie Mae Scott Duren. He was an electrician. Surviving are his brother, James T. Duren of Atlanta; his two sisters, Faye Ramey of Atlanta, and Rena Marcus of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28 at Mars Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Nobles officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing. martinfuneralhome.com.
