Dewayne Earl Caton Evans, 67, of Jemison died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born Wednesday, April 29, 1942, in Thorsby, son of Earl Caton and Irene Watley Caton.
He was a press operator.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Evans of Jemison; two daughters, Beth Marsano of Kennesaw, Ga. and Debbie Barstow of Dallas, Ga.; son, Jeff Evans of Jemison, AL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; father, Earl Caton of Thorsby; mother, Irene Evans of Jemison; six sisters, Glinda Sowers of Sweetwater, Fla., Nettie Evans Jones of Montgomery, Virginia Evans McBee of Pell City, Vivian Evans Felt of Foley, Rita Caton of Prattville and Linda Caton of Thorsby; and brother, Ronnie Caton of Prattville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Evans; brother, Eddie Evans; and brother, George Evans.
Services were held Sunday, April 18 at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Jones officiating.
Interment followed in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Thorsby.
