After coming close in two of her last three games, Maplesville softball pitcher Courtney Killingsworth recorded a no-hitter on Tuesday in an 11-0 win over Holy Spirit.

Killingsworth allowed one hit in two separate games last week before giving up neither a hit nor a walk against Holy Spirit.

The Red Devils gave their pitcher plenty of support, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first inning and then adding two runs in the second and three in the fourth.

Bayne Edwards went 3-for-3, and both Morgan Little and Natalie Arnold finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

The Devils are 13-7 overall and 3-0 in the area.
