CCHS golfers tie for second at Greystone

Chilton County’s golf team finished five strokes off the lead over nine holes at the Founder’s course at Greystone on Tuesday.

Oak Mountain’s golfers posted a 174, and both CCHS and Pinson Valley shot 179.

Forrest Knight’s 43 was the best round for the Tigers.

On Monday, CCHS shot a 295 to Jemison’s 405 on 18 holes at Clanton Country Club.

Knight again had CCHS’s best round, with a 69 on the par-68 course.

Ivan Truss shot a 72.

CCHS’s junior varsity team bested Jemison, 189-193, at Montevallo Golf Course.

Jordan Lightsey was the top scorer for Chilton with a 45, and both Cody Baker and Patrick McKinney shot a 47.
