MAPLESVILLE – Maplesville and Jemison both defeated Isabella on Monday, setting up a game Tuesday that will determine the Chilton County Baseball Tournament champion.

Tournament host Maplesville and Jemison will play at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The Red Devils had the more impressive win on Monday—they topped Isabella 12-2 in five innings while Jemison held on for a 10-8 decision—but the Panthers have an advantage in that they don’t have a playoff series looming at the end of the week like Maplesville.

Chilton County, Thorsby and Verbena are not participating in the tournament.

Winning pitchers on Monday were Jared White for MHS and Jacob Chapman for Jemison.
