Herbert Hoover Moatts, 81, of Birmingham died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
He was born Saturday, Nov. 3, 1928, in Chilton County, son of the late Rudolph Moatts and the late Annie Bell Teel Moatts.
He was employed with Piggly Wiggly for more than 20 years.
Surviving are his son, Mr. Herbert A. Moatts of Birmingham; daughter, Mrs. Cathy (Charles) Broadway of Birmingham; and brother, Mr. Paul (Jewell) Moatts of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Geneva Moatts; three brothers and three Sisters.
Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, April 13 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 13 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.
Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery.
