Thorsby will not participate in the Chilton County Baseball Tournament scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, leaving only half of the county teams in the field.

Tournament host Maplesville will play Isabella at 4 p.m. Monday, according to Maplesville coach Derrick Littleton. Isabella will then play Jemison.

Jemison and Maplesville could play Tuesday.

Isabella, Maplesville and Thorsby have state playoff games scheduled for Friday.

The tournament was rescheduled from earlier in the season because of inclement weather.

Thorsby joins Chilton County High School and Verbena as county teams not participating.
