Jemison Masonic Lodge named in honor of Cost
Jemison’s Masonic Lodge on Saturday was renamed in honor of longtime member Stanley Cost.
Cost, in fact, helped build the lodge at its current location in 1960.
Cost, 93, has been a Mason since 1956.
Several Masonic state officers were on hand for the ceremony, including Alabama Grand Master Larry Hancock, who presented Cost with the certificate stating the lodge’s official name is now Stanley Cost Lodge No. 411.
“We appreciate him,” Jemison city councilman George Brasher said. “He’s always been a good friend, and he’s really helped the people of the city over the past five decades.”
