Jemison’s boys tennis team (6-1) defeated Holtville on Thursday, 8-1, but the girls lost, 1-8.

The matches were played at Clanton’s courts though Jemison was the home team.

Boys winners included Cole Thompson, Drew Posey, Taylor Long, Andrew Morton, Jake Long and the doubles teams of Thompson/Brandon Jones, Posey/Jordan Jones, and Morton/Jake Long.

Ashley Gothard won her singles match for the Jemison girls (2-4).
