Highway 22 bridge now open
The Alabama Department of Transportation finished its repairs on the closed bridge on Alabama 22 at mile marker 55 near Maplesville today and reopened it to traffic.
The bridge was closed to repair damage found during a routine inspection by a member of ALDOT’s Maplesville District.
Traffic originating from Maplesville detoured onto Alabama 191 to Jemison, then to U.S. 31 and back to Alabama 22 during construction.
