Katherine Tommie Chandler, 65, of Jones died Monday, March 15, 2010, at her residence.

She was born Saturday, Sept. 30, 1944, in Mobile, daughter of the late Thomas Bryant and the late Ruby Martin Bryant.

She was a horticulture worker.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Nelson Chandler of Jones; three daughters, Kathy Nell (Bruce) Owens of Jones, Barbara Jean Rodgers of Aiken, S.C. and Mary Jean Crew of Villa Rica, Ga.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; best friend, Ruth Holliness of Selma; two brothers, Randall Jones of Hotsprings, Ark. and Al Chandler of Holden, La.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Nelson; and brother, Joe Bryant.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 18 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, March 19 at 1 p.m. at Alpine Baptist Church with the Rev. William Short and the Rev. Johnny Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Maplesville.
