Jemison’s girls tennis team picked up its first win of the season, 6-3 over Booker T. Washington Magnet School, on March 5.

Singles winners included Ashley Gothard, Jessica Swindle, Brooke Bice and Brittany Bryant.

The doubles teams of Gothard and Bice, and Anna Davenport and Macey Thompson were also victorious.

Jemison’s boys won by the same 6-3 score.

Singles winners for the boys were Drew Posey, Brandon Jones, Andrew Morton and Jake Long.

Doubles winners were Jones and Taylor Long, and Morton and Jake Long.
