Amos Hewie Crawford, 91, who resided with his daughter and son-in-law, Virgie and Roger Kitzmiller in Livingston, Texas, went home to live eternally with the Lord and his beloved wife, Sina Louise, of 52 years on March 3, 2010.
Amos was born in Ruterfordton, NC on June 17, 1918.
He was the son of Robert Lee and Mary Reese Crawford.
Amos was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps, where he served as a heavy equipment engineer II construction technician. He was retired from Bowman Trucking Company of Atlanta. Amos was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Verbena.
He is survived by Virgie Kitzmiller of Texas; Lorina Vick of Virginia; Patricia Crawford of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Carol Crawford, Elouise Estas and Hewie Crawford.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 10 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Verbena.
