Shannon Elizabeth Funderburk, 26, of Clanton passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.
She was born on Saturday, July 16, 1983, in Jefferson County, daughter of Charles Keith Funderburk and the late Shelia Annette Vines.
She was a boutique owner/operator.
Surviving are her father, Dr. Keith Funderburk of Clanton; step-mother, Mrs. Regeana Funderburk of Clanton; sister, Mrs. Michelle (Mark) Riley of Clanton; special friend, Brandon Bates of Clanton; grandparents, Burl and Sammie Vines of Bessemer; grandfather, Charles Funderburk of Tallassee; step-sister, Mrs. Alisha Headley (Chris) Callahan of Calera; two nieces, Alyssa Riley of Clanton and Shay Dennis of Calera; two nephews, Jacob Ellison of Calera and Hayden Callahan of Calera; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shelia Funderburk; and grandmother, Elizabeth Funderburk.
Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Simpson officiating.
Interment followed at Jefferson Memorial South, Birmingham, at 1 p.m.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Children’s Hospital or Give Kids the World.
