Nix, Bailey lead Devils to wins

Maplesville’s girls and boys teams won at Billingsley on Tuesday.
The girls (10-6) won 68-59, and the boys took a 63-43 decision.
In the first varsity game of the night, Maplesville’s Zuri Nix turned in a career performance with 34 points, 18 rebounds, six assists and four blocks.
Teammate Kiana Andrews contributed 13 points and four steals.
In the boys game, Brian Bailey lived up to the high standard set earlier in the night by Nix. Bailey posted 38 points, nine rebounds and six steals for the Red Devils (6-11).
Maplesville’s Anthony Johnson was good for 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Raphael Brooks scored 14 points for Billingsley, and Scott Crocker had 12 points.
