Aubrey Wayne Cox
Aubrey Wayne Cox, 73, of Billingsley died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Perry County Nursing Home in Marion.
He was born Thursday, June 4, 1936, in Chilton County, son of the late Joseph Littleton Cox and the late Molly B. Wilkins.
He was a sheet metal worker.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbie Cox of Billingsley; two daughters, Karen (Tony) Payton of Clanton and Tammy (Greg) Smith of Clanton; son, Darren (Theresa) Cox of Marbury; grandchildren, Miranda Roper of Maplesville, Melissa Roper of Clanton, Garrett Payton of Clanton, Brady Cox of Marbury, Gavin Payton of Clanton and Madison Smith of Clanton; great-grandchildren, Destiny and Dez; brother, Charlie Cox of Decatur; sister, Gladys Carter of Prattville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha Cox; and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at Billingsley Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Wyatt and the Rev. Barry Rowe officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery in Billingsley.
