Janie M. Davis, 89, of Clanton died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Chandler Health & Rehab in Alabaster.
She was born Saturday, Jan. 24, 1920, in Alabama, daughter of the late Sam Hubbard and the late Betty Ray Hubbard.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her three sons, Elvin (Juanita) Davis of Clanton, Wayne Davis of Clanton and Melvin Hubbard of California; three brothers, Marion Hubbard of Sylacauga, Horace Hubbard of Cumberland, Md. and Milford Hubbard of Virginia; sister, Frances Lanam of Frostburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, P.J. Davis; and brother, Cecil Hubbard.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home directed.
