A fire that destroyed a mobile home in Clanton on Tuesday morning was an accident, according to Fire Chief David Driver.

The fire started near a clothes dryer, though its exact cause hasn’t been determined.

“It’s going to be an accidental fire,” said Driver. “There’s nothing suspicious.”

No one was at home or injured during the fire that gutted a trailer in Martin Court off Enterprise Road around 9 a.m.
