Panthers pass Verbena test

Jemison’s girls and boys middle school basketball teams took wins over Verbena on Thursday.

The girls team (5-4) won, 19-3, and the Jemison boys (8-3) followed with a 45-26 decision.

The Panthers led 27-9 at halftime and 35-19 at the end of the third period.

Verbena’s Jaryus Wilson led all scorers in the boys game with 12 points.

Jemison used a more balanced approach. Randy Satterfield scored a team-high nine points, and Kortlin Zeigler had eight points.

Katlyn Caudle scored eight points—all in the first half—for Jemison in the girls game.
