Both Maplesville’s boys and girls basketball teams opened their seasons with home wins on Friday against Isabella.

The boys won, 50-25, with Brian Bailey scoring 16 points and recording six steals.

Anthony Johnson posted 12 points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Matt Hamner conributed nine points and five rebounds, and Casey Atchison pulled down eight rebounds.

The girls won, 56-22.

Zuri Nix tallied 26 points, six rebounds, four steals and three blocks.

Ebony Childers scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Kortisha Morrow was good for nine points and six steals, and Keshia Bailey had seven rebounds.
