Jimmy Donald Mims, 52, of Alabaster died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.
He was born Monday, Aug. 5, 1957, in Chilton County, son of the late Willis B. Mims and Jeanette Dale Mims.
He was in sales.
Surviving are his wife, Becky Mims of Alabaster; daughter, Lindsey Higgins of Alabaster; son, Jesse Mims of Alabaster; grandchildren, Piper Higgins and Sailor Higgins; mother, Jeanette Mims of Clanton; brother, Mac Mims of Clanton; and sister, Donna Mims of Tampa, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Mims.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Victory Chapel Church with the Rev. Donnie Messer officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
