Alma Brown

Mrs. Alma Marie Brown, 102, of Randolph, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at her home with children and grandchildren at her side. She was born Feb. 13, 1907, in Chilton County.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Clanton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, attending meetings at 100 years of age.
She was preceded in death by husband, Kyle Felton Brown Sr.; parents, William Herbert Lucas and Sarah (Arledge) Lucas; granddaughter, Lisa Chamberlin; and great-granddaughter, Natlie Huett.
She is survived by her eight children; sons, Kyle Felton (Naomi) Brown Jr. and Glenn D. (Ann) Brown; daughters, Betty Brown (Curtis) Barnett, Joyce Brown (Charlie) Hilyer, Ruth Brown (Thomas) Burnett, Eva Jean Brown (Jon) Chamberlin, Virginia Alma Brown (Charles) Collins, and Sylvia Brown Cook; 32 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren; four great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. in Rockco Funeral Home Chapel Montevallo. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Brierfield. The Rev. Jimmy Robinson officiating.
